God is always trying to take us to the place we desire most to be. It’s the place where FAITH, HOPE and LOVE are all alive and producing results in the reality of NOW. It’s the place where desires are fulfilled, promises are kept and Truth is made real. The Holy Spirit of Truth/Grace is our companion and escorts us there when we’ve cleaned our hearts and minds of all fear, doubt, shame, pride and guilt. In this place, by God’s divine power He has given us ALL things we need and desire to enjoy a glorious LIFE in godly virtue. We only escape being corrupted by being a REAL partaker of His divine nature through Christ!
By Faith, diligently make every effort to possess God’s divine promises. With your Faith, be disciplined by Grace to develop moral excellence, understanding knowledge, self-control, steadfastness in Truth, godliness, brotherly affection (through Christ’s love seeking the BEST for others and their benefit). All these things are yours as you choose to grow in spiritual maturity. Simply, they will all keep you from being messy, unproductive, unsuccessful and useless in God’s assignment to you. ABOVE ALL…. know Christ and who you are IN HIM!
“For whoever lacks these qualities is blind—shortsighted [closing his spiritual eyes to the Truth], having become oblivious to the fact that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, believers, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you [be sure that your behavior reflects and confirms your relationship with God]; for bydoing these things [actively developing these virtues], you will never stumble [in your spiritual growth and will live a life that leads others away from sin]; for in this way entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly provided to you” (2 Peter 1:5-11)
Living in and through Christ is an adventure worth taking. As you yield to LOVE and to love Him back the way that He deserves to be loved (in obedience, submission and agreement), the REAL will manifest abundantly as it takes the place where the false once held.
